Thank you so much for laying this all out in such a fantastic sensible way. You make me excited to be on this journey, and help me remember that it's possible to do this my own way - not according to anyone else's rules. Being able to claim never goofing up because nothing is prohibited - nothing is BAD - is great.

I have my knee surgery later today, and following that am looking forward to resuming my focus on weight loss, health and exercise. I think I'm going to print a copy of this post to put in a conspicuous place and keep me motivated. Thanks again!Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12401609334253676307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040100606605030988.post-40956802836857514002010-02-24T17:25:30.933-06:002010-02-24T17:25:30.933-06:00Favorite post yet. It is the bes t chocolate ever and we are very nervous over here, now that Kraft have taken over Cadbury's that the taste will change. I hope it doesn't because although I love most things American, your chocolate is yucky....Sheilaghhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02774960303127922257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040100606605030988.post-45403588199123064572010-02-24T13:37:56.769-06:002010-02-24T13:37:56.769-06:00I agree with everything you've said here. Eve...I agree with everything you've said here. Everything. This approach we have in common---it is not only simple, it is correct. And more than one person has questioned me before on this "my way is right" attitude I carry...and I'll tell you...the results and the transformation of not only our bodies, but our minds and behaviors---that's proof positive. Too many times I set rules and rigid food requirements---and composed "never eat this again" list---and I struggled every single minute of every single day.
It is fun and easy when you throw all of the self-imposed rules of engagement away and just get real simple.
I know it sounds bold to say that a billion dollar weight loss company is wrong. But many of them are completely missing the most important element that we've discovered. They are right if temporary and hard fought results are the goal. But if reaching our weight loss and fitness goals, keeping it off for the rest of our lives, and doing it all with ease---if that's the goal---then they have it completely wrong.
You got this. I couldn't have written this post any better.

My best always
SeanSean Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07973189725254566966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040100606605030988.post-21192579553415772812010-02-23T23:15:18.927-06:002010-02-23T23:15:18.927-06:00You just write the most wonderful posts EVERY SING...You just write the most wonderful posts EVERY SINGLE TIME. You have a gift for reaching people right where they are....right where you WERE. I love that. You're just amazing Zaa...so real, so understanding, so human, so encouraging...and still shrinking!! Congrats on the loss, and I'm so happy for your daughter. The best way to lead is by example and that's exactly what you're doing. And portioning out those Cadbury eggs is brilliant....190 calorie snack is perfect, and it's chocolate, too! I started out with the 1500 calorie rule, also, but my problem has always been, and still is, VOLUME. I was reading your breakfast and thinking to myself I could eat 3x that much, lol. I have to stick to the egg whites instead of the whole eggs simply for the volume factor. But it's like you said...you have to tailor it to what works for you...I completely agree. Absolutely adore you Zaa. :)Tammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09903038555489140718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6040100606605030988.post-72914942122152465512010-02-23T20:34:20.675-06:002010-02-23T20:34:20.675-06:00I will love this post forever! And showing me you can be successful without the rules!

I like cabbage.
